SOUTH AFRICAN RHINO's TO ENVADE ITALY.

The first ever South African Rugby League side to tour Italy will be leaving
the South African shores on 7th June 2006 to play the Italian Azzuris .
The tour will be unique in the sence that the Rhino's will play 2 days of
9's in Montelice and then convert to XIII's to play Italy in 2 test matches
and also in 2 matches against Italy A in Venice,Northern Italy.
The tour will be concluded with a promotional beach tournament at a holliday
resort in Northern Italy.

This tour will break a 5 year isolation period for the Rhino's.

This tour is self funded by players - each player selected for the Touring
Team fundraises money to make a dream come true i.e. to represent his
country in international Rugby League. South African Rugby League is an
amateur body based on amateur ethics i.e. fundraising and donations.

The following players were selected to represent the South African Rhino's on their June 2006
tour of Italy.The team will compete in two(2) days of 9's tournaments in Montelice against
teams from Italy.France,UK and possibly Morocco.

After the 9's tournament The Rhino's will play the Italian Azurri's in a two test series in Mira.The Rhino's A  and Italy A will also contest a two match series in Mira.

The Rhino's official farewell will be held at the Wanderers Rugby Club in Johannesburg on Sunday 4 june 2006.

The team will travel in 2(two) groups to Italy on Tuesday 6th and Wednesday 7th June 2006.

The team will return to South Africa on 19th June 2006.This tour will break a 5 year isolation for the Rhino's.
