Enslin Dlambulo

Enslin Dlambulo was  born in Cape Town South Africa and was a student  at Langa high school

He played for the western province Bantu rugby team and went on to represent the SA Africans in 3 matches against the SA Coloureds before pursuing a professional rugby league career in England

Dlambulo had played many times with Goolam Abed and on Abed’s arrival at Bradford Northern rugby league ,he was asked to recommend another South African player

The player was Enslin  Dlambulo and  it was in 1962 that his rugby league career began

Rudi Hasse , a fellow South African was also signed by the club

At Bradford Northern , he was recognised as one of the most disciplined and fittest players of his era playing in the centres and  second  row

He was hungry for success, with his strength ,agility and athleticism setting him apart from fellow players

He scored the last try for Bradford Northern before the clubs demise in 1963 after which he signed with Keighley rugby league

After his stint at Keighley he retired  in 1968  and continued living in England

Dlambulo was one of South Africas greatest sporting heroes in the  days of apartheid and was finally awarded his springbok colours in 2004
